There's no way to prevent autism spectrum disorder.
ASD can be treated and children can improve their developmental skills. Children with ASD typically continue to learn and figure out problems throughout life, many children wild still need support.
Though there is no prevention, there are lifestyle changes that can be made to lower the risk of having a child with ASD.
Changes include:

- living healthy,
- avoiding drugs during pregnancy
- avoiding alcohol
- seeking treatment for existing health conditions
- getting vaccinated.
